I'm not convinced.

Euro 2004 had some crackers too. Keepers always use the ball excuse these days.

I have noticed that the average goal kick seems to carry about 15 metres past the half-way line.

Now whether that is down to evolution or the new ball I'm not sure....

TBH i dont think its moved as much as they said it would. The German goal was the only one really and he cut the hell out of it to do it.

No more than a Papa Dioup strike with a PL ball.

karabiner my mate was saying that its got like a spongey(sp)surface and when your foot goes so far it springs off,he said rugby balls have had this for a while?dont know but,he was very drunk

Good spot. I noticed a couple of times in the england match robinson's punts went straight to the opposing keeper. Time for a pat jennings style goal i reckon.

It makes me quite jealous when I think back to playing with old leather laced balls when Tikay and I were at school.

When the ball got wet sometimes we had trouble getting goal kicks out of the penalty area
