Whilst Jen & I were Updating in Paris on Moday & Tuesday, a Gentleman came up & said he very much enjoyed watching me blathering away on PNL.

We got chatting, & he told me he was a 25c-50c Cash Player, da de da de da.

"What you doing here Tom?" I ventured.

"I won my seat to play this event", said he, & we became friends.

He entered a 1,400 runner Freeroll on Poker Heaven & won the thing!

He got through Day One in good shape - 26,275 I believe - but suffered a bit of a beat late on Day Two I believe.

During the "dead" day One he joined Jen & I for a while, & I showed him the "big" Aviation Cash game, the fella was, like many of us would be, not only amazed at the sums on the table, but the abandon with whch players were getting their money in with junk hands.

Anyway, a big welcome to Tom, a real nice guy, about my age.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

I'd put Tom in his late thirties. Very late, mind.
