Jen could you keep an eye out for the Irish players? I believe there are a few there. Stephen Dunphy and Paul Leckey should be there (probably both wearing Irish Poker Team shirts) and Peter Roche may be there.

thanks

Mike

No sign of Stephen Dunphy on my list, which also has a Lekich but no Leckey.  Not definitive though - will look out for the logo.

Lucy Rokach was just in the process of winning a satellite into this event when I arrived - she went straight from that table to the start of this one. She is just impressive.

Jonathan Rabb reports from Tableside at Tikay's table that someone threw a purple 5000 chip in with a 100 thinking he was calling a bet of 200. They allowed him to retrieve his chip. He looked relieved.

People are being most helpful here - TWO copies of that player list made their way into my little computer corner, just inside the velvet rope at the edge of the upstairs poker room. They have covered the back wall in a huge European Poker Championships banner, just so we remember what's going on. The people playing blackjack directly behind me don't seem in the slightest bit interested.

Starting chips 10k, blinds at 25 - 50, 90 min clock

Tikay "not looking happy" according to my scout Robert HM - holding up, when queried, three fingers, then five.  This May signify 3500 in chips, which would explain it.

Stuart Nash is sat next to Tony G; I am sat behind Simon Trumper.

Hi Robert HM here, too lazy to log out and in again. No, special names from the States though Doyle Brunson is in the UK, he was at the Billingsgate Comp but I think knocked out yesterday, you would have thought he could have popped in here.

Jen's gone off to get a steak sandwich so you have me I'm afraid.

Lawrence still in, I'll go downstairs later and see if I can get a chip count.
