Have you ever heard so much piss spoken in 90 minutes of football commentary!!??

Pleat says "its a 4 - 2 - 3 for the USA"  Really with 9 men??

Drury "Equalizer"  when it was 1 - 1 surely another goal would have made it 2 -1?

Pleat "Thats ironic the big centre half who made so many challeneges clearing the ball"  Wheres the irony?

Drury "Perrotta is still off the field its 9 versus 9" 20 seconds previously the cammera shows you Perrotta sprint back on Drury says "Ohh in fact Perrotta just hobbles back on"

There are so many more instances of total piss talk!!  Never have I heard such nonsense and England never even got a mention in it all, ITV really need to do something with their sports department.

Bring back Big Ron!!!

Peter Drury was a fantastic R5L radio commentator recruited by his former boss Brian Barwick when he was Head of Sport at ITV. He's far better on radio.

Pleat...no salvation whatsoever...a World cup or three too far for the back of Jaguar, brown shoes dancing at Man city past it football manager

agreed on the sky production values

but of course itv and bbc are relying on German tv pictures, not a lot they can do about that!

andy gray...agree to disagree!

I agree totally, Mr End.

I do somewhat agree with ITB, with all the camera angles, stats and info etc...

But the above is to do with money, which the BBC haven't got. Even Steve Ryder has left the BBC for ITV!

to be pedantic for a moment, Rider left for ITV because he runs a successsful motor racing company connected with F1. He left (even giving up his second love..Golf coverage) because the success of his company (management contracts for F1 personnel) required his presence on the F1 circuit

He actually hates football, look carefully when he anchors the coverage and even though he's a consummate professional you'll spot it!
