Bad News. Micky raised with TT, flop came KKx, geezer moved in, Micky had to let go.

Then he flops top pair & straight draw with JT - Matey Boy rivers the flush. Micky Wernick OUT. (this post by tikay, Jen's on patrol). Micky had had a GREAT week though, & we (Poker 425) did a really nice, 15 minute, in-depth interview with him yesterday. In my Hotel Bedroom, of all places. Very cosy.....

Catching up on day 1's posts i c, perhaps a little bizarrely, that there has been some debate on Mickey Wernick's nickname (then again i suppose poker nicknames r more interesting than whether to have a steakwich or a a kebab!) Anyway, for those not in the know, this slightly unappealing tag comes from play in cash games a few yrs back when a fellow player referred to Mickey as the "worm" which, for any fishermen or women out there, is a form of bait! Point being that when Mickey was in a cash game it was a good game with plenty of action.

As 4 whether he likes it i would say he isnt keen on it (would anybody be?) but he doesnt reall ycare. I think "legend" of "godfather" would be more appropriate as he has been there seen it done it from heads up battles with Stu Ungar to poxy 10 re-buys to what he's been up 2 so far this yr around Europe & Vegas!

Whatever, good luck 2 him!

ps. Believe it or not 20+ yrs ago he was Mickey "The Kid" 'cos of youthful looks, honest...
ps. Personally if steakwich tasted like those they serve at walsall i'd plump for smelly greasy kebab anyday!!

Hi Whatever, LOVELY first post, & really interesting story.

Spot on, too. He ain't mad keen on "The Worm", it has a slightly derogatory ring to it. He deserves better. "Legend" ain't far wrong....

Tony. what are the blinds please ?

Good luck Simon "Chubbs" Nowab .... early discipline could be the key.

Ian "Vidal" Bradley, see you in luton next weekend hopefully... I think a Blondeite table should be reserved at the bar area Wink

And a "Ranting David Merhmand" surely not, he is a meek , mild sort of chap lol lol.

Welcome to Mr. Mistereggen, our latest member, who I'm told caused all sorts of interest at Monte Carlo.  And Luton.

Blinds are still 300, 600 for a little while longer.

They have broken a table.
