Well I have recently discovered Sodoku, thanks to my daughters Nintendo DS, She was pestering me for ages to buy her the Dr Kawashima's Brain training game, Being the oblivious dad that I am, I promptly set off for tesco and purchased said GAME.

Here comes the surprise, its not a game, it is, if you can imagine a speak and spell combined with a speak and math from when we were kids, with added extras that improve your handwriting, dexterity, and observational skills, and in to the bargin you have hundreds of sodoku puzzles to solve.

Now it gets better, The "game" follows the principle of the more you learn the more you earn, so the more you learn and the better you get, the more games ( educational of course ) you get access to. Another great feature is that the puzzles are age based, so I will face different puzzles from by daughter, and hers will increase in difficulty as she grows and gets older.

Well that enough about that game. as great as it is I wanted to harp on about sodoku.

So on to it then, Now it seems i have missed the boat on the fad that is sodoku, I was oblivious to this whole thing kicking off, Well its a great puzzle, I have been missing out on poker to play this game ( thats the shocker ), for those that are unaware sodoku is played on a grid of squares ( the standard seems to be 9 x 9 ) each column, row and box must have one of each number ( between 1 and 9 ), its a simple logic puzzle, yet you want to get through them is as fast a time as possible.

Now to my point, since I started playing this puzzle game and using the brain training game, I have noticed my mental arithmetic had vastly improved, I seem to be a little sharper and its improving by the day, A great tool for anyone who wants to stay mentally tip top.

OK i know its drivel but i had to tell someone.

Cheers

Billy
