"look at how he single handedly won the Chanpoins league final with 20 mins to go"

The Barca team that went from round 1 to the final practically without him did nout obviously.

Also the team in the final that passed the ball well all night, wearing out the opposition may have had something to do with it... Wink

it was the two priceless moves that he created that won it....just ask T, Henry

You mean he came on and did two things which helped his team score. He didn't single handedly do anything, he hasn't in 3 years!

He was good in the SPL, but so was an alcoholic Gazza (scored on average 15 goals a season for Rangers.)

You have to understand that while everyone agrees Larrson was one of the top draw players (not in the top handful) he can not be given the credit you lot like to give him because he has not consisntantly produced in a strong league or on the big stage.

no.

That merely shows he carried an average team and scored on an average stage that is the UEFA cup

The UEFA cup does not provide anything more difficult than t=an avergae to decent PL team... as shown by Boro's run (valiant as it was) run to the final...

to be honest I dont know, i dont really pay too much attention to the marketing hype that surrounds the champions league, I just look at the teams he has scored against :

Liverpool
Blackburn
Valencia
Celta Vigo
Bordeaux
Juventus
Porto

All in all, not a bad cv.

Larsson has scored 32 goals in 47 matches for Celtic. Van Nistlerooy and Henry have scored more than that.

All in Champions League football.

Nistlerooy is a machine in Europe, almost one a game.
