thanks for the replys guys i am running AVG is this one ok??

AVG is fine, you should be ok with this but you should get spybot and adaware anyway.

To empty the temp internet files, right click on the internet explorer icon, go to properties, and on the window that opens, there is a section in the middle for temp internet files, just click delete files.

Dont hit delete cookies though as it will remove all saved log ins etc etc, not the end of the world if you do, but you'll have to sign in again on forums etc Smiley

I'm sure you'll be ok

I clicked on the link, Norton didn't say anything had been detected. I have updated and run Spybot which came up with 2 entries for FastClick. I'm going to run Adaware now and delete temp internet files. I really need to be playing poker now so I'll wait and run a Norton scan overnight. Will that be OK do you think?

BlueWolf I think you owe me an hours EV. I would say buy me a drink but I'm not sure where you'll find a place that sells half cans of coke Cheesy

Adaware never seems to have any updates, is that the same for everyone or am I doing something wrong?

It came up with 13 items all look the same - Tracking cookie, Data miner.

So nothing about trojans?Huh?Huh??

AVG has now been running for 1 hour 30 mins is this normal??

What is fastclick?   I seem to get that coming up all the time whenever I run a spyware check.   Does every internet site have a fastclick attachment?
