Got it.

Its well known that Arsenal are the team with the longest unbroken run in the top flight (since 1919) but they actually got elected there, rather than winning promotion in the traditional way.

They expanded the league after the first World War but, instead of allowing a relegated team to stay up (which ironically would have been Spurs) or the 3rd placed team going up from Division 2 (which ironically would have been Barnsley) the Football League committee elected to promote Arsenal who had finished 5th in Division Two in the last season of football before the war.

Nope...Plough Lane had no new stands and the Crystal Palace one's are still there

NOT a trick question...you do need to be thinking of clubs who put a stonking great big stand up and then subsequently moved grounds....
