I saw The Who on Sunday. (They still totally rock, I never thought a 60+ year old could make windmilling look cool)

When they played "Who are you" the graphics on the big screen made me think of ol' Tikay.

It was a speeded up black and white train journey.

A camera was mounted on the front of the train, and we saw a speeded up journey, occasionaly cutting to a pic of the driver. Loads of stations and tunnels to get excited about.

I was more concerned with bouncing up and down trying not to land on people.

Paddington. History, family connections, the London pierhead of Brunel's mgnificent masterpiece, the GWR.

St Pancras. For sheer architectural majesty. The world's most beautiful Raliway Terminus.

Moscow Station, St Petersburg, Russia. most inaptyly named Station in Europe, except the Station in Moscow which is called....St Petersbrg Station. Because the train goes to St Petersburg.......

Helsinki Station. Jen & I spent a wondrous 2 hours there, & she let me sit in an express carriage for a while. I even drew the curtains.

Newcastle. One of several catherdral like stations on the GNER.

Edinburgh Waverley. Just awesome.

Manchester Piccadilly, though it's gone downhill.

Wootton Bassett Halt. Probably closed now, but childhood memories.

West Acton. So many happy memories.

Derby - so much to look at, always, the most eclectic collection of Locos & Rolling Stock in the UK.

I am struggling to keep it to 10, so many to choose from. Aldgate East, Hammersmith, Ealing Broadway, Fort William, Leeds, Penzance, Exeter St Davids, Swindon, Waterloo, Birmnigham Snow Hill, Bristol Temple Meads, Whatstandwell. Each have their own appeal, & hundreds more.

But for the worst, it has to be.....

Luton

Waterloo International

Birmingham New St

Birmingham NEC

Sheffield

Stafford

London Bridge

Kings Cross Thameslink

Shadwell (DLR)

Paris Gard Noir (spelt wong?)

That would be the famous London to Brighton (in 1 minute) film - I have it on tape somewhere.

Ahh, so you ARE interested in trains.

Hull Platform is longer, & better, than Colchester.

Not seen it, but it's on the "must visit" list.

London Underground, Euston, Northern Line, Southbound (Bank Branch).

Best train platform ever.

(No kidding.)
