He is going to race in the NASCAR series in 2007 for his former team owner.  Before coming to F1 he used to drive for Chip Ganassi in the CART series.  It will be nice to see him back in an arena where he can compete for victories again.  Ok, he had some success in Europe before his F1 debut ( F3000 winner ) and then in F1 winning 5 races, but it was his INDY CARS days that were his most successful period.

Is this by choice or is it just because he couldn't get a formula one team?

I couldn't see him getting a team.  After being told he wasn't going to be kept on next season he's crashed and then caused the massive crash last week.  Shame really I quite like him.
