Adam, It's impossible to guarantee that the HU will be finished on Saturday. James and I sorted the one in Scotland and it's a mommoth task to get players matched up correctly and at a reasonable early time. We had to wait for certain people to be knocked out of the main comp to enable us to finish team tie breaks etc. Also, you have to wait for enough space to play the games, and that again means waiting for a certain amount of people exiting the main comp (and hopefully the correct ones)

By 1am I was running around like a headless chicken, as some people were catching flights/leaving early the next day, and the planned Sunday afternoon final was out of the window. This time I think I can safely say that there is a slim to 0 chance of it finishing Sat evening. Just take a second to think about HOW MANY matches have to be played!

Spot on Mrs Norse Horse.

I cant see it finishing in 1 day.

Anyway Adam your team will be too Rocky!

the HU matches will likely still be being played during breakfast at the village ( my room number will remain a secret for those trying to steal a breakfast) adam honest truth mate is that an over night stay close by would be preferable as a 2 hour drive around 8 am in morning would be a bit of a chore plus then i can kick your butt in the quiz espically the music round as i have heard they are all questions on proper music like elvis and none of this heavy guitar rubbish

Can someone negotiate a hotel deal that gives us a room from 4am until midafternoon?

At BB1 we got into our rooms just before checkout time!

This is the plan, it worked well at BB1, lets see if we can repeat it. There will be slight changes from that comp to take advantage of the improvements Ginger & Flushy made in the BB2 comp.

The game is Heads Up No Limit Hold 'em with 2000 starting chips and a 10 minute clock. Players to sort out a method of timing between them, whether it is the clock on the wall or a wrist watch.

Blind Structure:

25/50, 50/100, 75/150, 100/200, 150/300, 200/400, 300/600.

However if the games are found to be taking to long the right to change the structure is reserved either before a game or, unusually, during a game. If changed the structure is likely to change to

25/50, 50/100, 100/200, 200/400, 400/800.

(This right will be known as the "Vic" proviso)

The buy in is £100 per team, captains you are responsible for collecting the money and passing it over at registration.

The team captains will supply the names of their players in a certain, fixed, order.

During the early part of the main Comp there will be a draw for the first round matches.

The first team drawn out the hat will play the second and so on.

The winner of the first two teams drawn out will play the winner of the 3rd and 4th teams drawn out, and so on. I will provide a sheet of paper, visible to all to show who is playing who and the route to the final.

We get the games underway asap as players get knocked out of the main comp and are available to play.

The player nominated as No 1 in team A will play No 1 in team B but if, and only if, we are being held up by selfish players not willing to get themselves knocked out of the freezeout to play this, the more prestigious game, then there will be a swap of positions of the individual players in consultation with the captains, my decision will be final and made with the sole intention to achieve a fair and speedy result.

It is the individual players responsibility to find there opponent and help to get their games under way, the captains will make sure that is happening. The results of each match should be given to me as soon as it is finished so the order of play can be updated to show who others will be meeting in the next round.

There will be no need to ensure all matches are finished in one round before the next round matches start. As soon as one team acheives 3 victories the tie is over, there is no need to complete all 5 matches if the tie has already been decided.

If the comp is not finished by the time the casino shuts we transport ourselves to the Village and finish off there, in the bar.

The payout struture will be 50% of the prize pool to the winning team, 30% to the losing finalists and 20% to the winners of a third place play off.

The third place play off will be expected to be played before the final. If time is short it is open to consider a 10% each split for each of the losing semi-finalists.

The above is designed to have a good time, a good game and a lot of fun with the expectation that the comp will be finished before Sunday morning breakfast. At BB1 this was managed even though the Captain of one of the finalists was the runner of the main comp and was not availalbe to play until the early hours. The rules have been discussed and considered and are certified (!) as fair. So AdamM if you want to play them's the rules but feel free to complain about anything you wish just as you did during the lead up to the BB1 comp (love you really)

Nope, seems clear from the above that it is no limit.
