however good i get at poker, it'll never be better than the hours, holidays and pension I get as a layabout civil servant I think the idea of being a pro is much nicer than actually doing it. Obviously I can't speak from experience, but I would imagine some periods are very stressful. From the outside it looks all nice and lots of fun, and it probably is. But there must be a lot of tough moments as well when the cards aren't flowing I still want to do it though . It is my dream job. After Uni finishes, who knows it may happen. I have to find a seller of anti-fish tablets though. My doctor said there is no such thing as a "Poker Fish" disease and refused to treat me. |

Was quite a heads up battle. Unfortunately I ended up second best. There was a big race with 33 vs AJs and that was almost the ball game. (Got the chips in first ) Got back, doubling up with QQ. It wasn't to be though. I called down 8k on three streets to some obvious top pair value betting, the moved my 26K stack in with K6 next hand. He had the mighty A6 and thats that. The hatrick was close, but no cigar. Thanks very much to the PRO who turned up in force, and in some cases fine voice too. |
