Speaking of Captain Tom, here he is sat next to Tomko and Antonius.

He seems like a pleasant enough character, so I guess I can grace him with a surname... Captain Tom Franklin.

And here are two of the remaining three tables, fully equipped with a whirlwind waitress.

Good morning Jen and Abel, just caught up with the last eight pages of updates while drinking my morning coffee.

Great read as usual. Rumour has it that they may play until 9.30am your time today. Blimey

LOL, yep, a 20 hour session was predicted right from the off by many. It's pretty tough going getting a field of 130 down to 9 in one day, especially when it's Limit.

Captain Tom Franklin is OUT.

Antonius put him down to the felt and Andrew Bloch laid on the finishing touches.

Seidel is one of the lower stacks with just 74k. I hope he hangs in there though, he genuinely seems like a nice chap.

This is David Levi, who, as you can tell from his three towers, is your current chip leader.

They're not easy to count as he hasn't piled them up as neatly as Antonius, but I think he has him pipped with just over 600k.

Wouldn't mind cashing that in.

I've never been interested much in Vegas and the WSOP but after reading
this update it sounds really exciting and I want to be there.

Snoopy's been filling you in while I have been mesmerised by this $25 ante $50 blind cash game, patronised currently by Andy Black and Joe Hachem... extraordinary game.  Let's just see you don't often see 23 taking down multiple thousands on a kind of weird bluff-turned-good.  Oh, and Ben Roberts has just joined the party.

I am going to award my Climber of The Day prize to..............Barry Greenstein

Starting the day way down near the bottom of the list with $23,600, he's somehow gotten over 400k and into the top ten in the last HORSE... I paid attention to his chip stack until this point, and to be honest it didn't look fantastic halfway through today, but he's firmly in control of a nice big stack now, which is after all what counts.

With the exception of Doyle, I'm not particularly awe-struck when it comes to the 'name' players. However, admittedly, taking a whizz with Ted Forrest, TJ Cloutier, Doyle Brunson, Robert Williamson, and Barry Greenstein was slighty surreal.

Does your press pass or your hair-do get you into the VIP's loo ?

On their backs.

Mateyboy = three diamonds

Cong Do =

Gavin Smith =

Smith takes the high with a pair of queens, whilst the low goes to Cong Do with A-3-5-7-8
