last two days I have had missed calls on my mobile from a london number, and when I tried to return the call, i got a message saying "you cannot leave a message on this number" ...strange I thought, must be some tele marketting number.

Then today while i had popped out and left my mobile here i get another phone call  from same number.... My son takes the call and fella asks for me by name, my boy says "he has popped out can i take a message ?" ... bloke on other end says, its poker player magazine here, we would like to have a chat with him, I will ring back later" .... Now all sorts of things are going through my head now... Maybe they have seen the vids, read the reports and want to interview me or use my stuff in the magazine.. HAPPY DAYS !!

Then it happens, the phone rings ...  I answer in best phone voice.... and chap says "Is that Kevin Shepherd" ..."yes thats correct" I say..   "Ah good" he says, "Im glad I have finally caught up with you, we are just phoning people asking if they want to take out a subscription to "Poker Player" magazine for £5 would you be interested ?".... FFS talk about imagination running away with you.

So no fame... No fortune .. But I do have a subscription to poker player magazine for a fiver LOL LOL

Yes Tikay - I have one in a very fetching shade of olive green.  Very handy for days out and about.

Been there done that.
The worst is when you finally speak to them and they say do you remember the competition you entered to win a trip to the states? You say yes (while heart is beating fast) and then they say well sorry you haven't won it, but would you be interested in buying.......
