The 1,500 NLH Main Event concludes the UK Open Festival at Grosvenor Luton.

It's a 2 day jobbie, Day One starts at 7pm on Saturday.

blonde will be carrying a Live Update from start to finish, with djinn (200 NLH UK Open winner Jen) in the chair.

We hope you can join us - it's interacting with the blondeites that makes these Live Updates such fun. And no feedback makes it a pretty frustrating time for the Updater - luckily a problem we do not seem to have - last week's coverage of the Final at The Vic ran to 45 pages! And all blonde traffic stat records were broken, by a country mile, in no small part due to Jen's beautifully crafted posts. And since then, she's won the UK Open 200 NLH - she's FAMOUS now....!

Oh, & though it's a bit of a waste posting this news here, but we now have a Menu Button on the Home Page for Live Updates.

A great field is expected. Willie, Lord Lawrence Gosney, John Gale, (two bracelet winners & a WPT Champion there...), El Blondie, Joe Grech, Iwan Jones, Michael Thuritz, Legato & Ector from PokerStars (both Stockholmers), ActionJack, Camel, Thewy (fresh from his jollies in Spain - oops, just remembered, I was supposed to buy him in...), Bad Girl, Smokin Steve, Bushy, Carlo, Rob Yong, and way too many more names to mention.

Join in & enjoy!

I might come up for this event tonight, do you think I would
get a seat at about 6pm or is it likely to be sold out?
Also, are there any satellites this afternoon?
Cheers.

Hi Stac,

Yes, there IS a satellite - a super - plus some one table jobbies this afternoon. See

http://www.blondepoker.com/events/009010.html

Will you be able to buy a seat at 6pm? My guess would be yes, but thats just a guess. They had sold 82 seats at midnight Friday. Why not ring them to ask the score. The phone number is in our UK Cardroom Directory here...

77 sold, PLUS however many get seats in the Sats.

10,000 starting chips, 45 minute clock. On each "day two" this week, when the blinds have begun at 1,500-3,000, they have moved the blinds BACK a level to 1,000-2,000. Which, if you are one of those folks who are always Billy Low Stack, is very helpful. I'm told.

Was that predetermined or decided at the end of the night?

No idea. I just know that when we returned (in my case, Tuesday & Friday aftenoons) they said "we have reset the blinds to 1k-2k" which was met with general approval.

I only ask because with 20 left I think I may have chosen to be more patient if I'd have realised the blinds were going back down. I assumed they'd be up to 2-4 and therefore deduced that I needed to make my move.

Still, I think it's a gr8 idea. Helps stop the final day turning into a crapshoot. Any ruling that allows for more poker to be played is a step forward in my eyes.

High praise from snoopy. Well done Luton.  Smiley

Precisely. A big up to Luton.

By the way, our Live Update will be on a new thread, in the LIVE TOURNAMENTS section.
