Mere minutes after we saw Phil Ivey buying a snack in the Food Tent, he's OUT in 3rd place, winning $617,760!

It took off after Andy called to see a three diamonds flop.  Andy checked, Phil bet 100k.  Andy raised a huge 400k on top - putting Ivey to the test.  He decided to take the plunge, moving in and receiving the expected call.
Ivey showed:    (!)
Bloch showed:

Turn:     (a mixed cheer and groan went up)
River:

And the man many considered a favourite is out third.

Not too much action heads up. As expected, they're playing it pretty cagily, a bet here and there, but nothing too jaw-dropping.

During the break, we saw Phil Ivey in the queue at the hot-dog stand.

Even the Grosvenor provides a free buffet for the finalists!

The heads up between Chip Reese and Andy Bloch is closening (if that is a word) - they look pretty even at the moment, although really it's hard to tell; they both have rows of stacks which don't lend themselves to counting from behind six people.  Nevertheless, the announcer is helpfully giving us bloggers the suits of the flop and clearly stating the bets, so it's really not bad.  Quite enjoying it actually  Cool Cool  The atmosphere is slightly circus-y with all the cameras and gizmos, but pretty exciting.

Action in the $2,000 has actually finished for the day already!  We're already off-kilter with regards to the day/night cycle, having woken up at 7:30pm after yesterday's marathon, but if there's anywhere in the world to be entertained at funny hours, it's here.

Nevertheless it is pretty astounding that these guys are in a $50K tourney paying $2K each in juice.

And all they get is a $10 "complementary" food voucher  >:?

I spy with my little eye a Circuit listener beginning with K.

Harahs is totally ridiculous in its juice especially given they make most of their money from the advertising, they should be juice free.

What flavour of juice is it?       Do they offer diet juice or sugar free?

It's very expensive invisible juice...

Meanwhile, it's time to go watch History Happen while Snoops sees if he can bring you some pics.  The guard guys can't make up their minds if it's OK to take pictures without flash, or whether he'll be removed from the room and his press credentials revoked if he's found taking any pictures.  >:?

If you consider we can pay £10 for a £100 tourney back home, is it really that much?
