Do you think this was a correct laydown or not?  I bet small on the flop hoping for a reraise from AK, AQ but the bet didnt come till after the flop so I was a bit lost.  Cheers in advance

you're up against the two blinds in an unraised pot, why do you expect to be raised here? A flat call from the SB here makes me think hes got a flush draw rather tha another 2 pair  a set. Why do you not raise on the turn? By flatcalling you have allowed your oppo to take control of the hand and you have no info on his holdings.The push on the river is an massive overbet and again I'm suspicious that he's missed his draw but the way you've played your hand along with the size of the bet forces you to fold.

I agree with everything apart from what is in bold. Just because he has made a massive over bet, doesn't mean you have to fold.

I try to play in a way that makes my decisions simple not difficult. I usually fold A3 off here but if you wanna play it come in for a raise, then make a pot size bet on the flop. if someone calls you then poss best to slow down although I prob fire second barrel cos I put him on a flush draw. (I read somewhere that bad players always put their opponents on flush draws )

If you limp you have no clues as to what they may have. The old cliche don't go broke in an unraised pot applies.

Open limping IMO is not good in 6 max.

I don't see any reason to fold.
I'll call this every time.

What I would do myself though is bet the 2 pair (after the flop) MUCH heavier. a BB bet doesn't do it for me. 4 times the BB minimum IMO. There's a possible flush draw out there and you'd want to make the guy pay for drawing against you. The 2 on the turn can't scare you as you have that beat (unless he's got 4-5, which you would have kncoked out with a larger raise after the flop).

It's also a ridiculous overbet...I would therefore take him for an Ace with a decent kicker. (jack or ten)
