I've never seen a non white JCB car TK.

I thought they were all the same car as well - everyone i saw used to be a vectra.

The other day though I saw a White Mercedes with JCB plates so maybe that has changed (or i was just mistaken in the first place)?

They have a Sculpture made from JCBs along the road too (it's on the way to Alton Towers...)

I've been on open days to JCB and i confirm it is fascinating. They have the display team which is both impressive and very funny at the same time.

I would recommend it to anyone.

Yes, it always was "one car fits all", White was mandatory, as was the JCB XXX Numberplate. Shanks & McEwan also had a "white cars only" Policy. Aldi (the Discount Supermarket chain) were also "white only", though always the same make & model, but they relented eventually & now they use Blue Audis.

The JCB organisation is a world-leader in many ways. "JCB" has become the generic term for backhoe hydraulic Excavators, and as pieces of machinery, they really are the Rolls-Royce of Excavators. They always used to boast that worldwide spares availability was never less than 99% "on the shelf".  Awesome people, awesome machines. Properly maintained, these machines will last for ever.

I'm delighted I'm not alone in my admiration & fascination with all things JCB. Don't want folks thinking I'm some kind of geek, or anorak, now do we?

They've also just designed their own diesel engine (a first for them) and are going to have a crack at the diesel land speed record:

Alton Towers - does this involve going outside ? I don't think I could handle that tbh.

What does JCB stand for ?

JCB is named after the founder, J C Bamford.

Surely - Joseph Cyril Bamford

Unless you're claiming that J stands for J and C stands for C?   Cheesy

No, but it's on that Tick List. Unticked.

Jon MW is correct.

I have. Working the back actor is really difficult for a while, then suddenly it becomes intuitive,
after that it's just like an extension of your own arm.

What a fantastic design!
