ooh ooh, we haven't had any quizzes today.

Okay, tell us how many chip John Gayle's got.

Pink = 500
Black = 100
Green = 25

Starting chips were 2,500 and play started at 2pm (2 hours ago), so that should give you an idea to how Mr Gayle is fairing.

And here's our British hero himself - after letting me in on his secret game plan ("Within two rounds, just move in blind if there's an opening") he did exactly that.  The rocklike image many have of him may well be lying in rubble after he pushed blind with what turned out to be A9 and got called by Tens.  He spiked the Ace though, and is still in on the last nine tables...  And all this after only three hours sleep!

And look who I spotted one table behind him - Padraig Parkinson, holding 26,000 in chips and probably better rested than our other main followee...

The players are on a short break at the moment, but I managed to catch Mr Hewston on his way to the loo.

He says he's doubled his starting stack due to a variety of small hands rather than 1 big one.

wow...

My calculation was: 15 pink chips, 30 black chips, 40 green chips.

so 7500 + 3000 + 1000

Is that one on the Blonde Updaters' Final Exam? Grin

Is the Alan Engel who was up with the chip leaders in the $1500NL the same guy who plays in London ?

I can't seem to see Tony Chessa, Chris Ferguson, or Dave Ulliott any more, which either means they're out or the comp or their wives are in labour.
