We're running a bit late today due to a hold-up on the freeway. No idea what was going on, but we did see a few cop cars hanging around.

More used to slow journeys on the Stratford Road, I never once thought I'd be stuck in traffic on Las Vegas Avenue or Frank Sinatra Drive.

Anyhow, back to business.

Today is Day 2 of the $1,500 No Limit Hold 'Em Freezout, but also that start of the $2,500 Pot Limit Hold 'Em Freezout too. As so many Europeans failed to make it the end of yesterday's play, we thought we'd keep an eye on the Pot Limit Event. Rumour has it that the likes of El Blondie, Tony Chessa, Marc Goowin and co are all playing, so it may be of more interest to you if our updates for today focused more on this Event.

We're keeping an open mind.

OK - here's the deal - after a scan like Snoopy's only much much quicker Wink I make an executive decision to concentrate mainly on the $2,500 today.  So, the main posts will be about this large event, while we keep an eye on the action in the $1,500 in case anything truly fascinating kicks off.

And of course we're most concerned about our new friend  Bhupinder Kohli - Bhups made Day Two with about 9 big blinds, and was telling us that he would be making a double-or-bust move early on.  Sadly we were crawling down the freeway at said early point, and I'm just about to go and look for him now.  But I thought I should let the blondeites know that Bhups is truly hardcore - at 1:45am LV time yesterday, they'd bagged the chips and we were thinking about rushing down for the 2am tourney at Binions.  OK, I'd already decided that was a good idea.  But when Mr. Kohli overheard said plan, he insisted on coming along.
"If there are only a couple of tables it will be over by 4:30.  That's at least six hours sleep."
"You should go to bed."
"No."
"OK."

Anyway, it was a very entertaining small hours mini-tourney, with much merriment, a little beer and final table appearances by said Day Two-er and MadYank (who'd busted my KK with his Q 10 and given me a nice chance to rest on the rail).  In any case, we hope his enthusiasm hasn't made the second day of the $1,500 even more daunting.
