I'd be interested to hear if anyone has bet on Big Brother (whether current or in the past). I saw the odds a couple of nights ago and couldn't resist backing the field against the fav. (£45.50 outlay for a minimum return of £100.50 if fav loses) Ran my bet past a mate and he thought I'd stubbed my toe. Anyone with any thoughts I'd be appreciative.

These are the odds I took with Hills:

1: 1/6

2: 6/1
3: 16-1
4: 16-1
4: 25-1
5: 25-1
6: 33-1
7: 66-1
8: 66-1
9: 100-1

Cheers Will.

You have taken the equivalent of 11/8 he doesn't win.

On betfair you can lay Pete at 1.22. Which is like having your bet at 9/2 with the added advantage if they put someone new in the house and they win, you still win your bet.

Thanks for that Camel. Never used Bet Fair but from the sound of it I'd be better off backing outcomes like that over there.

Cheers,

Will.

I can't see anyone but Pete winning BB7.  I don't watch it much but he never seems to say or do anything wrong and genuinely seems a nice bloke.  The only worry for him is that Welsh fool.   He's a nice guy too but if he wins it will be comical.

You are better off at Betfair for things like this Billy - a lay of Pete (backing that he won't win) would have been better Smiley

Good luck with the bets Smiley

To be Honest tho, if you ask anyone, they will tell you, it will be very hard for pete not to win this years Big brother, the only way he can lose if he lets slip hes a member of Al Qiuada (sp?) - and even at that he'd probably still win it

I put £10 on Imogen to be the last female in the house several weeks ago at 10:1.

This wasn't so much because I thought she would be, but that I thought the price was wrong.

She's now at 7:2 to be the last female which I think is closer to the true odds, I thought it was well worth risking a tenner when the odds were this far out to start with.

i hope you win it mate, but i think she's a little boring for the public to keep her in there

pete will win unless 1 of 3 things happen

he walks or he is offered a deal by bigbrother IE (take £25k and walk and give up your chance of winning the main prize) or he breaks a bone or gets a serious injury which means he will have to leave the house

Cheers for all the comments. I've seen around 2hrs of it since putting the bet on and hadn't watched any up until then so it was more a case of opposing what seems to be a ridiculously short priced fav for a reality show rather than having any knowledge about the runners. I've got a fair record in opposing favourites in tv shows so still think there's room for a shock to get me paid. Either way, I'll be looking in to the Betfair option for future bets...Appreciate the replies,

Cheers,

Will
