I would just like to say what a good article 'Wardonkey' has written(on the homepage if you havn't seen it).

The good old STT's or sit n go's, whichever you like to call them, I feel are sometimes overlooked for the more 'glamourous' multi tournaments or cash games. They are often used to quickly build a bankroll before people move on to other forms of the game.I personally find stt's to be my strongest aspect of this great game called poker and articles like Wardonkey's I find quite valuable in trying to further my ability.

It's good that someone of Wardonkey's calibre is willing to share his veiws on this aspect of NL Holdem, and I for one look forward to the next installment.

There are probably some aspects where I'll have a different point of veiw but I will wait until Wardonkey has finished the series of articles before I start asking questions.

 cheers Mike

Thanks Mike,

I'm sure Snoops will put the rest up soon. I wrote it as one long essay, but Snoops serialised it as it would have been a long downward scroll otherwise.

I appreciate the feed back. It's the first time I've attempted any 'poker writing' and I keep thinking of things I could have put in, but I think It's long enough already!

I really enjoyed the article and looking forward to the next part.  The advice seems very useful and it's nice that a successful player will share this sort of advice with us.  Hopefully I might be  as good as you in the future

Yep, very good article wardonkey.
I also make consistent cashes in STT's. You can also play them with a relatively small bankroll, compared to MTTs.
I agree with most of what you said, bar 1 or 2 minor things, which I think are down to my own playing style.
Can't wait to read the next installment.

Some excellent advice. I seem to be doing ok at my level of $5-10$ STT, playing pretty much in the manner you recommend in your article. If you've got additional thoughts Wardonkey, they to would be appreciated I'm sure.

Inspirational article Wardonkey.......Inspirational !!

I've been playing $30/$50 stt's on party for last 2 days and Ive had 11 wins out of 14 played, with a 2nd and a 3rd in there. I'm on 8 consequetive wins at the mo.......only one game at a time though.......not quite up to your standard.

Now!.... where's them Ladder tournaments.
