The final league placings are up and well done to Byron who was unmatchably consistent. My hat is off to you squire. Point me in the direction of one of your pics and we'll put you up on the banner.

A special mention to Claw whose late start and push up the rankings was Wernickesque. Two more events and I'm sure you would have done it.

Big thanks to RobertHM and Claw for screenshotting the final results so that I could update the league in decent time. Also thanks to Zimbra for his hand histories on the event we couldn't find the result of.

Massive thanks to Kev for dealing with Bowmans in my absence. If anyone knows what he was put through by them it's me. I owe you a pint.

This league had 53 people scoring points and well over 100 taking part. The league is growing thanks in no small part to DtD who donated $600 to the cause. Hats off to them also. Hopefully the next league will be for more money and with more participants.

The final 9... Thoughts on when you want to play your final for a free crack at $500? (And $500 more for a pop at Chubbs or Rob Yong at bB3)

Friday or Saturday?

(even money that this is the most unpopular time slot and I get chastened for even suggesting it... Cheesy )

Baron - how about you go first and mention the days and times you can do, and then we'll take turns in narrowing down the selection... and maybe if we narrow it down enough we can get something everyone's happy with.

How's that for a suggestion Huh?

If I had to list the days of this week in my order of preference, up to Sunday, it would be:

Friday 4th / Saturday 5th (<<< already crossed off the list by Baron)
Tuesday 1st
Wednesday 2nd
Sunday 6th
Thursday 3rd

I would also prefer a slightly later start, maybe 10pm, but the last time I suggested that for open league I think a lot of people said they wouldn't be able to make it, so I'm not optimistic Wink

The final was originally scheduled for a Wedsnesday so I think that might be popular....

Wednesday suits me too.  I would also prefer a slightly later start time.  Neeko is away for a couple of weeks now with no internet access - depending on other people's holiday plans etc, I think we should wait until he gets back, as he would have been around if the final had gone ahead last Wednesday as planned.

Anytime for the final is fine by me.

I got a signed book for the last league so I suggest you send this one to Claire.

I am not able to make BB3 as I am going on Holiday. Tikay said in another thread that we could sort out another time/place for my lesson. Obviously I will do anything to make it as less an inconvenience to DC as possible. I would be happy for example to drive up to Birmingham and meet up in a pub for an hour or perhaps if DC is playing any cheaper tournaments we could talk for an hour before hand and then play. Dunno if he plays anything between say £500 to £1000?

Whatever is best for him of course.

Thanks

I don't mind postponing until Neeko gets back.

I vote we wait for the return of Neeko and Bradders, won't we need all 9 for it to run ?

If the event is likely before September please no Friday or Saturday night just can't make it.

Thanks Baron for a great effort in running this, and of course thanks DtD for the added cash.

Byron as I said last night a pleasure to be at your table for what seemed like every event - you play well young Jedi.

Hopefully the days of the Evil Claw are over - TEAM SILO forever.

Well played all.
