ok..it's early in the wsop , lets say 3 hours in..blinds are just 50 100 , and i've got 14K in chips after a couple of good hands..i'm dealt  Two Diamonds two hearts    ( don't remember the exact suits, but doesnt matter ) , i'm in mid position and limp.. everybody folds to the BB who make it 300 ...so it cost me 200 to call..i call and ry to see the flop ( its the wsop..if i don't flop the set i'm out of the hand i think )

flop comes

       two spades

whoo oo i think...

BB bets something like 600 , i raise to 2000 , he calls me

turn is

i bet 4000 ..dont want to slowplay...he thinks for a while and goes all in for his last 4000

i think mmmmmmm mumble mumble....maybe i'm screwed, but can i possibly fold now? ...so i call..and he flips over

 Sad ouch that hurts...

i'm down to slightly more than 3K and very sad...

don't know how i managed to get back to 10K and last till 10 pm ....but that's it...

what do you think about the hand?the more i think about it, the more i think my only error was calling preflop..once i see that flop, i don't see how i can get away from it...

That's just unlucky mate, I don't think you've done anything wrong there.

The way I see it, if you don't go bust (or double up your opponent if you have more chips) when you are faced with a set over set situation you are playing too timidly to win the tournament.

Hopefully next year the situation will be reversed.

Nothing you can do here, just bad timing.
Unlucky.

ditto , no fault, the best way to win chips/cash in poker is to limp and connect with a pair so i think you played the hand well, just one of those things to run into 10 10. unlucky
