Hi all
We have been informed that TONIGHT Radio 1 will be attending a "Poker in the pub" night at the
Bull & Chain 7 Langworthgate Lincoln LN2 4AD
If you live nearby pop along and add to your support (I am sure the landlord wont mind ). If you need any more information please call Dave Cain on I hope they cover the night in a positive manner and show that poker can be a fun sociable game.
The league has started well, the biggest problem we are having is getting all the results in and loading them up, (we have nearly 100 pubs and landlords don't like the internet)the first week or two was expected to be hectic and so it has proved. We are confident of growing steadily and expect to add more pubs throughout the first league. As yet we have had no legal issues arise from this league and we do not expect any.We are contacting as many licencing and police authorities to ensure the smooth running of each night and to date have not encountered a problem. It is important to introduce the game to as many people as possible and to show the game to be fun and exciting so I hope that all of you who have played so far continue to do so and have a fun night out.
Thanks to everyone for there support.

That's good news. I ran a game for this last week & it was a good night. The play was pretty competitive as well. A lot of the guys hadn't played before but seemed to pick it up OK. Only problem is the guys who've watched it on TV and want to dwell for a couple of minutes on whether to raise the limpers from the BB, or just check being reminded "it's not the feckin WSOP" seemed to do the trick though

Ha that would be great, I don't think Tony would try his normal antics in a pub atmosphere. Not that this is true I guess, but please take video cameras just in case

McConnells are looking to hold their first night next Monday (providing they've enough people express an intrest). Give them a call and say you're in for it tonight if you can.
