I would just like to say a big well done and congratulations to the legend that is Richard Gryko. Making the top 50 in this years WSOP main event is an incredible achievement from somebody who surely now has now been confirmed as Britains greatest player. I feel it is now only a matter of time until we see the great one with a bracelet round his wrist. So a big well done again Richard.

An excellent achievement and well done to him, but think you have slightly exaggerated his position in the British poker rankings.

It's debatable yes but i think many would agree with me. I recently bumped into Devilfish and he predicted a big tournament for Gryko who he believes is currently Britains 2nd best player after himself of course.

He would say that. I am not knocking his ability as a player as he must have something to reach the top 50 as well as past results, but he hasn't won any major events in 2005 or 2006 (correct me if i am wrong) so was just trying to put in to perspective. Again well done to him though.

To be honest, I don't really know enough about Gryko. Oh allright I have never heard of him, so can't really tell who is in his league. But if you are asking who is the best British player at the moment i would go for Mickey Wernick and he has had a great twelve months including at least a couple of tournament wins.
