Another one who's kept fairly quiet while developing his stack is Lalit 'Terror of Helsinki' Khajuria.  Approaching the 40k mark he's another one like Iwan Jones who just always seems to be there as Day One wraps up.

Barry Neville raises to 2,800 from under the gun.

Mike Magee is the only caller in the big blind (blinds at 400/800)

Flop =

Magee checks, Neville bets 3,500, Magee folds.

"Good fold," announces Neville whilst simultaneously revealing a King.

Steve Bovis is eliminated by Luke Patten with against Patten's .  All in preflop (Steve had under 16k) and the nut spade flush on the turn knocked Steve out leaving the Iwan Jones/Barry Neville etc. table playing 6-handed.

Actually, just saw him take down a nice pot (pocket Threes which hit a set on the flop and rivered a house).  It looks like he's been pretty busy in just the last few hands in fact - I reckon he's got closer to 30,000.

Here's the second of the Sporting Odds qualifiers. This time he hasn't come quite as far as Greece, but still, he doesn't live around the corner.

The Outer Hebrides of all places!

Anyhows, his name is Edward McCleod and he's on 14,200

Doesn't sound like much, but with blinds at 400/800, he still has plenty of room to manoevre.

With just 15 minutes left on the clock for today, play is winding down for the final four tables.

A few counts:

Paul King      23,000
Carlo Citrone  10,500
DingDell         28,700
Paul Jackson   14,600
Lalit Khajuria    50,000
Womble         13,600
Dale Greenleaf  27,000
Iwan Jones      13,200
Ali Mallu           89,000  (and your pipping chip leader)
Ash Hussain     58,000
Rumit Somaiya  15,300

Board = two spades

Mallu bets 8k, Luke Patten moves all-in, Mallu folds.

Patten adds even more to his chip-lead.

OK OK now he's the chip leader; with another big stack on the table it's clear that he's not scared to put it all at risk, still - it must be noted that Luke Patten's results have been pretty good this year, and it will be interesting to see if he's to make yet another final table.
