Tonight we are going to try and start up a smallish cash game with our resident hand analysis expert Pab (recently 6th in the WSOP 5k shorthanded event) on blondepokerleague.

It'll be something like a .50-$1 or $1-$2 game. If there is enough interest it might be a regular slot.

It'll kick off at 9 ish on an empty table. I will post more nearer the time.

Pab isn't playing to win he's playing for the laugh, the banter and maybe to help one or two people if they ask him nicely. He's doing it in his own time for no reason other than he likes blonde.

At these levels the game will probably be as loose as it was in Vegas.

i would doubt very much if a player as competative as pab would play any stakes not to win!! i understand the idea baron but it may prove be be easier making all cheques payable to pirate pabs benevolent fund. ;-)
i think that a $1/2 game wouldn't allow the beginners to play within their bankroll. GL hope it goes well

It wont necessarily be $1-$2, we'll go with the majority.

If Pab wanted to win I'm sure he'd do his usual $5-$10 NL on 4+ tables rather than a small game like this.

maybe so, but he's not checking his missed flush draw in position on the river after a weak check now is he?

Well actually he might. Then he might show explaining what he did. Then again he might not if it against someone he considers to be a useful player. The point is he could win a lot more elsewhere but he has chosen not to tonight.

No one is forcing you to play but I hope a few will join us.

It will be whatever people want really. Pab is not fussed. I'm betting the general vibe will be a NL game but it can be smaller than .50 - $1 if that's what the masses want.

Well, it has to suit bankrolls of the players on here.

Look at the BPL games to see what the players who play the league consider a reasonable table stake and you see that it doesn't really go higher than $10. (Even the introduction of a $3 rebuy, which would have boosted a buyin to maybe $15 or more, caused a ripple of panic.)

If the majority of players are not comfortable risking more than $10 in one game, you probably should not make the table more than 10c/20c No Limit AT MOST, perhaps 5 c /10c would be even better.

Just a thought.

Not a bad idea Zimbra. If we get feedback along these lines we'll take this route.

Pab has just told me that IF he finishes up he will donate half of his winnings to the next league as a prize.

LOL @ MrMoves! That's what I've been saying mate!  Cheesy

Just to clear a few things up, this isnt a cunning plan to try and scam low limit blondes out of their hard earned to line my pockets. Me and aaron had such a blast playing cash in vegas he asked me if i wanted to play in a game with him on party earlier. He then said would i mind playing some low limit games on blonde later with him and maybe make a thread about it inviting people to come along. I have no problem with this and enjoy any game of poker especially with friends, makes it more fun. Just to re-iterate i have no ulterior motive, I will donate half of any winnings from these sessions towards the Blonde league in some form of prize to be determined at a later date.

Hope some people come and have some fun, it gets boring taking aarons money all the time

In around 5 mins ill be taking a seat at 4 tables, from 10c20c upwards

the 1/2nl table will be a 6 seater featuring baron and geeforce and will probably get wild and may well be worth viewing for pure entertainment
