Ever since I reinstalled windows, the scrolling is jerky.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

Have you updated your graphics drivers?

What apps is it jerky in?

How do I do that?

It's mainly Mozilla (I think), but other programmes seem to be slightly slower. - eg, when playing online it takes longer to start up.

I should also say that normally it returns to smooth scrolling once I've messed around on my laptop for a bit or rebooted.

This time however, it's seems to be staying jerky.

Find out what graphics card you have, if you don't know go into my computer, control panel, system, then on the hardware tab go into device manager.  Expand display adapters and it will tell you there.

Now go to the manufacturers website and download latest drivers, alternatively google for them using graphics card name

I think i may have asked this same question a while back snoopy so do a quick search of my posts that are in General Discussion (prob not that many) and you should be able to find it. You can fix it pretty quickly if I recall rightly, just need the proper instructions.

Yup, the graphics drivers are the culprit I'd say.

Sounds like you have a problem with the influx capacitator on the floogle circuit, if you close the lid of your lappy and bang it three times with an open hand, it should fix itself.

If not get a new hand, or lid.

There's also a smooth scrolling option in FF.

Tools > Options > Advanced > "Use Smooth Scrolling"

It's possible that is off and could be the culprit.

Yep, tried that, but it didn't make things much better.

I don't know if this is relevant, but I've just been on the phone for a hile, and during that period the scrolling has decided to fix itself. This is something that always seems to happen, but of course, I don't always have time to wait. Any1 know an explanation for why it might fix itself after a waiting period.

Well obviously I'd try yours first, I was just thinking of the more obscure things it could be in case yours doesn't work...
