1. it is badly designed ( not all of it, but most of the cheap stuff is )

2. if you accidentally take it out of its box, one bit gets tangled and then thats it.... you are screwed

3. it is seriously hard to find the beginning when not positioned in its box properly

4. it wasted 20 minutes of my life trying to find the start of it earlier.  All this to bake a potato

5. I went to the shop to buy another roll.  The same thing happened.

The list could go on forever.

For the record, I gave up on the stuff years ago.

Aluminium foil forever baby... just make sure you don't drop it or it'll unravel all to buggery, and then...

LOL

But i'm more amused as to why you would want cling film, to bake a potato?

I had this same conversation after I had thrown the second roll across the room. My friend said, you don't use it to bake potato's.  I do them in the microwave wrapped up in cling film

can you not just get a microwaveable dish with a cover and do it that way?

I kind of already figured you wouldn't be using it in the oven....

for perfect Jackets, pop them in the micro for about 15 mins, turning every few minutes, then pop it in the oven on a high heat for another 10(ish) they come out lovely and crisp on the outside, and soft in the middle, Yummmm

and no cling film required!

Wrap it up.  Put it in the microwave for 8 minutes.  Cut open. Put vegetable spread in the middle along with cheese, coleslaw, cottage cheese or beans.  Eat with some bread.  Take bread out of plastic packaging. Spread with some kind of butter stuff.  Eat and enjoy.  Drink fruit juice with it.  Take glass from cupboard ( left hand side of cupboard remember. It is Thursday today afterall. ) and pour in the juice. Drink and enjoy.

I'm sure you don't need to wrap a potato in cling film to microwave it - just stick it in naked! (the potato, not you)
