I agree...no way I stick a bet in here..they are taking you for an AK or something...give them a chance to bet it.

I agree...no way I stick a bet in here..they are taking you for an AK or something...give them a chance to bet it.

I disagree, you get raised by an overpair and have a chance to stack them , also you cant give a possible flushdraw a  free card on this board. Taking down a 600 chip pot at 20/40 is happy days.

fair point...two hearts out there so a bet is allright. (I always used to bet the straight with a flushdraw out there...I don't as much any more if I reckon someone will raise for me.

that's why i wouldn't bet it myself...I always found that if i bet it everyone folds but if someone holds the flush draw why not give him a chance to put his "I read supersystem and it told me to stick all my chips in the middle here" skills to the test Wink

I prefer to make a weak looking bet so that people can try and knock you off of your hand. It makes the pot bigger.

I have become such a rock lately that, believe it or not, I have taken to folding 74os pre flop!  On those occasions that I do decide to give it a whirl, I'd have played the same as you here.
