booked a holiday a few weeks back to spain flying out on my birthday the 31st august for a week with my girlfriend and her three kids to enjoy a leisurely break prior to the BB3 festivities.

found out today that the company in question was a complete scam and that they have frauded over 3000 people out of over a million pound!

got the rigmarole now of trying to get the money back along with 3 very disappointed and tearful kids to deal with.

unfortunatly booked it on my debit card rather than credit card so ten times as hard to get back!

apparently 2 people arrested and charged but me thinks that they nothing more than puppets in the scam and that the real perpretrators are long gone sitting in the sun with a nice fat bankroll!

That sucks.
Out of interest how did you come accross them? Was it one of those where they have contacted you or did you contact them?

Thats bad news mate best of luck in your quest to get it back.

Might be worth checking your home insurance you may well have family legal protection which could be useful to you in clai.ming back the money

or travel insurance?

Plus it only covers the dates of travel.  Your best bet is your home insurance, if you have any?  Its amazing that so many people don't have home insurance.

Bad news all round and have just read up on this on the net. Can't think of any positives as looks like the last you will see of your money.
Seems such an amazingly simple scam but I have also booked hotels via the net without thinking of the risk.
Hope the two caught get severely punished.

This company was on the TV the other day.

If you paid on your credit card, I think you can get your money back.
