So Tikay/or anyone else who attended, how was the grand opening of Grosvenors new cardroom?

Considering Bolton is the largest Club in the group and the huge event the were spouting for opening, hard to believe they will be offering £2 buy in comps. Just wondered what first impressions were like tho

Will write up a little Report later, but it was GREAT, & I wholeheartedly applaud their strategy - low buy-in comps.

How can a low buyin touny £2 be viable, unless it is a fast paced quick raising blind crapshoot.
with meny opional rebuys etc.
Surely this will give an unbalanced view of the game.

I understand why its £2.

To attract new players etc. But if they don't staff it I'm interested in how they will teach anyone anything.

Good Luck to them tho.

i agree £2 isnt viable enough, if players want to play low stakes to get used to the game then they have the option of online play to do that and many then move into £5/10 games to get the live experience. yes it will get people playing but how far up the ladder are you going to climb if you can win £200 at a push now and then, the true draw is player friendly £5/£10 comps that are easy for new players and allo larger prize pools, the reason most new players get involved is the possibility of big winnings for a small outlaw and i feel £2 may just be too small
