Hi all,

I would like to pass on my thanks to everyone at Aspers casino in Newcastle for their superb running of the William Hill Poker Grand Prix heat on Tuesday night. A field of over 70 made a prize pool of £18,300 and it was fitting that a regular Aspers player Russ Taylor won the seat to Cardiff.

The casino and poker room are fantastic and all the poker room staff made the night run perfectly. We were all very impressed with the set up and team spirit that clearly emanated through to the players and made for a great atmosphere.

If you get a chance to play poker at Aspers you must take it, the set up there is pushing the live poker experience to a higher level.

Thanks

Agreed, Aspers was a revelation, as the nice man said on telly tonight. 425 will feature the Aspers action in next week's show.

Next week, the roadshow rolls on & we visit The Sportsman (London) on Tuesday, & Fitzwilliam (Dublin) on Friday. More details will appear on blonde in due course.

lol, dont tell Steve!!!

I had bet Steve to win this at around 7/1 and when I saw the coverage I was a bit embarrased at my reaction at the end. I clenched my fist just as Pete the Beat was going to shake hands and it looks like I am sticking my fist's in his face and celebrating.
