Jonathan Rabb OUT - pocket 88s which hit a set were nevertheless no match for the mighty 7 4 held by James Dempsey, which straightened delightfully.

Right after, the button raises, and Tikay re-raises in the small blind.  The flop comes A K K, the turn brings an A, but it was all really over on the flop with the button holding a King but Tikay holding AA! How lucky is that?  Although he's right that the second Ace saved the other guy the rest of his stack.

(David Newth says if you can come up with £50 between y'all he'll do it and save me the aggravation Wink)

Sorry - computer temporarily commandeered to look up football and cricket scores for the anxious players...

It is unfortunate, Ironside, that the people you want soaked tend to be stood on the stage holding a mic or standing around electrical equipment (including my laptop) so proving a tad problematic.  I have my hands a bit full at the moment, but don't think I've forgotten about you...

Hi Nun - I asked Robert how he was doing - he replied "pretty poor" but he's got 7,000 and with the blinds at 100 - 200 he's not in terrible trouble.

Other counts:
Tikay 20,000
Camel 2,500
fugu 8,000
Steve Meehan 5,900
At-It Bradley 21,000
James Dempsey 14,000

The chip leader looks to be one Scott Clark with 45,000

Blinds 150 - 300 and down to 80 players.  Dan Smyth, of Gutshot technological fame, told me his sad no-win story, which ended with him going all-in with the worst of it (again) and cutting his losses to continue drinking in moderation in town.

Robert HM has come in person to tell me of his tournament demise:  He had A10suited in the big blind, Joe Beevers raised twice the bb, call.  Flop brought K Q 10, with one of Robert's suit.  He put a reasonable bet and Joe responded by saying "do you want to gamble?" putting him all in.  All in agreement, Joe turned over K Q!  No spades, and "luckily, his two pair didn't improve; sadly, neither did my A 10."

Robert assures me he will be back tomorrow for another bite at the poker4charity tournament flapjack.

Break at the end of this level, and then the levels are being reduced to 20 minutes.  It has suddenly occurred to everyone that this might take a couple of days to finish, judging by how many chips there are in play (575,000?).
