Bubo got lucky imo.  It's was a bold move going all in on that board imo with only a jack as a saver if the flush came, but it was even bolder of Bubo to call with nothing except the draw.

Would I have gone all in ?  Dunno, probably not on a board like that in the first hand of a tourney.

It's a 50p post in my professional opinion Cheesy

I am only 65% to win on the flop and 75% on the river definately not a bad beat. I am just wondering who goes in and who doesnt. I think I dont get the to fold here but with a 65% chance of winning do I want them to?

You don't want them to fold but sticking your whole tourney on it is a bold move in my opinion.  You we're lucky he called really, he should have folded but he got lucky.

I don't mind reading bad beats from time to time, we all get them.  I feel rude posting them really.  Had one of my own a few minutes ago - I move all in with QQ on a 8 4 3 flop with 2 clubs, 1 caller, with AK, K on turn, A on river - that's a bad beat.

We should have a venting thread really where we can post them just to get them off our chests Cheesy

Jezza, considering you have been playing well all week, you should have got off this, behind to too many hands imo

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Jezza

Pre-flop either re-raise or fold.  Cold calling a raise with AJo should be entirely eliminated from your play - just never do it.

You could actually have been up against AxKc/Qc in this hand, a set or a made flush, but having said that, you are in another raise or fold situation.  The allin is correct as you would rather take down the pot and want to force out the hand that called you.  A set or a baby flush still calls, but you have outs.  Unfortunately your opponent was too poor a player to fold.

I just looked at this hand quickly, and I may be wrong, but I think I would have liked to see the turn before going all in. If you cold call the 400 then you see where the initial bettor is. A reraise all in and you can fold. If he flat calls, then proceed with caution. The J on the turn would likely cause the KQ to slow down. However, it can be said he played the min raise on the flop as a made flush and trying to maximise.

Above all, I dont think I would have gone all in, but I think his play was worse by calling.
