This will probably open up another big flaming war which I dont want it to do but Just had an email in from paddypower and they are having Celtic at 9/1 to win v ManUre tomorrow. Surely even non celtic fans see this is being a bit steep odds.

celtic is 10-1 with total bet. roundabout 12-1 on betfair.

I still won't touch them at 12's...you could take the handicap if you think they could sneak a draw (unlikely in my opinion)  or even lose 1-0 2-1 etc Celtic +1.5 is 33-40. (so juyst under evens)
Celtic +1 is 9-4.

I can't see them getting anything out of the game..they are the best of a poor bunch in the scottish premier and no longer have the inspired leadership of Martin O'neill..(or Larsson up front)

i cant see betting celtic as a value bet...and at 4/11 or 5/6 ht/ft i dont see man utd as worth a punt ..best watched and hope its a good game.....in my estimation a draw would be a great result.

having said that celtic went to the camp nou and held out barca a couple of seasons ago when we were expected to get slaughtered...as man utd aint in the barca category so all things are possible if not probable...but we are shoogly at the back

so have a beer enjoy the game

Man U where better than Barca two seasons ago or whenever it was that the celts got a result there.

As much as it pains me to see, I want celtic to win. I can't stand that arrogant corn beefed nosed git or the shower of sh**e that pull on that red jersey. But I head tells me that Man U will wipe the floor with you and show you how to play some real football. And show you how playing 6 tough games a season does not and will never make you a world class football team.

Correct.

Never underestimate the hoops.

We may not win but we won't be embarassed for sure.

4-0 isn't an embarrassment.

Fulham lost 5-1 and they are a better team than Celtic.

Celtic should never be 10/1 against anyone, 5/1 or 6/1 would seem nearer the mark.

You'd think Man U were unbeatable at that price but shocks do happen & Spurs should have got  a point there on Saturday.

We've gone to Juve, Bayern, Milan, Barca (twice) in recent seasons &  a hammering has been widely predicted on each occasion, it didn't happen. In fairness we had a better team then & if we were as strong as 3 years ago then I would be expecting to take a point. In reality this is not a good Celtic side at the mo & the game has come too early for us (new signings not gelled yet) & the defence is very weak with little experience.

Anything we take tonight would be a huge bonus, the remaining 5 games are where we will be looking to pick up points.

i'm with nemesis, Fulham much better than Celtic. In fact... bar the 3 teams to be promoted, every side in the Premiership would beat Celtic if both playing at best standard!

Re. my previous point... it is a shame that this is the case as Celtic (and Rangers) really have been great European names but the standard of the Scottish domestic League really does deteriate as each season begins.

I think that you would agree that your club is weaker than it was against Juve, Bayern, Barca etc...

To say that Celtic shouldn't be 1/5 1/6 against any team etc is pretty naive IMO.

Rooney and Scholes back in the team tonight - gonna be a great game.
