Could have comfortably been half a dozen had Boruc not been in such fine form. Was pretty predictable outcome before game though imho. Men vs Boys. Although was never a penalty.

Should we have held out to half time I dunno what could have happened but thats 3 times that ref has fukced Celtic over he's a class A titty!! |

Refs are going downhill in my opinion. The Arsenal one was just as bad. You have to wonder how many more decisions will be given before they say YES to a video referee. Not a week goes by without a handful of decisions being analysed and criticised on TV. Yes, it is easier after when watching the tv but maybe that is the whole point...its easier watching a TV...

Listening to the Scottish media who seemed to think it was a penalty same old same old!!!!
Realistically does anyone think that was a penalty??
Overall Man u where the better side!!!
But never a penalty!!!
To sum in up devastated, dissapointed resentful but proud optimistic and can't wait for the next one!!

Celtic were certainly pressured and yes united had a lot of pace...saha is very sharp
goal 1...penalty questionable at the very least
goal 2..graveson gives ball away Celtic get punished
goal 3 ..ditto
most of the statements concerning 4-o thrashings were way off the mark...possession does not equal brilliance or goals.
united won it...deserved to do so..however - i hope that most folk can extract their head from arse and acknowledge that Celtic are no mugs.
ps also talking about it could have been 5 or 6 is speculation. i would also like to know what would have been the case head it been 1-0 at half time...as Celtic fans call it..its the michels effect..
but good game to watch so i`ll take it for what it was...look forward to the rest of the group.

Well played Man Utd, deserved win. We only have ourselves to blame really, you cant give the ball away repeatedly in your own half & not get punished. As I posted before the match this game came too early for Celtic, 5 of the starting line up are new signings & 3 of these have only been there for a couple of weeks, Man U have made 1 signing this close season & this team have played together for the last couple of seasons (BTW I'm not making excuses  ). This Celtic team will improve & we have a fighting chance of getting through this group. On a final note I hope this maybe turn into a sensible discussion on the match & some people really should know better after the nonsense of the last couple of weeks on here. Passions will be running high & a few of us will no doubt have had a few beers so can we stop the trolling please  |
