despite working in an office which employs 350+ people someone 'in the know' has just told me that blondepoker is the second most accessed website in our office

I really need to get some self-discipline, coz I'm rubbish.  Ideally I'd like to get them to block my access, but don't want to draw unnecessary attention.  Is there any way I can block the site myself (or at least make it very difficult to access so I don't just 'pop on for five minutes'?

That sounds painful - couldn't you just remove the site from your bookmarks instead?

Because a bookmark is so much easier than clicking the URL bar and typing in the URL? Smiley Smiley

Seriously Claw, get a grip on this because I went through a nasty time nearly loosing my job just so I could access the online gaming website forums (wireplay) back in 1999-2000. I spent most of the day on there. You need self discipline. Failing that, get the IT department to block it for you. get your "friend in the know" to do you a favour.

When I worked for my last company, I spent about 10 months wasting time on a forum.  My manager used to comment that I used to click off the screen whenever he walked into my office - I just pleaded innocent and said Do I?  Thankfully I left to work for myself before he pushed it too much.

Not good to spend your time at work on line all day, it's a slippery slope downhill.

Stop reading this and get back to work!

You should be able to configure your firewall to block access. I've never done it but I don't think it's complicated.

Most companies now have tracking software that is monitored....
Be very careful... i've just seen one of our employees with over 50 hours of internet time this month!!!!

Also if you click on your own profile you can see your own stats
