micky
i didnt know about what happened to you. im really sorry to hear it. are you still in touch with the kids? you dont look old enough to have a 5 year marriage

I'm fast approaching 29 Smiley Yes I get to see the kids regularly, things are actually very good and amicable. But they have to be. It makes it difficult at times though.

Anyway this is poppets thread so enough about me hehe.

Just to let you know that I'am thinking about you.

But at the end of the day if it wasn't ment to be better finding out now than in 5 years time when there are kids involved.

Take care

At the end of the day your young, and life aint ended coz of some guy, it takes time but you will get over it, when you realise there is more to life that Leon.

I just hope its for good this time, coz going back will show him he can do what he wants to you, and you will still be there.

Been there done that, and have just reciently learned my lesson!

Aw Sophie.  You will feel like shit for a while, and although it might not feel like it now it will get easier, and quicker than you might think too.  Feel free to ignore my advice if you want, because it's just that, but for the record here it is:

Don't even think about starting another relationship for six months.

And, if you think now that splitting is the right thing for you (which I'm guessing is the case from recent posts), don't be tempted to take him back in a few weeks when you are both feeling lonely.

No worries mate, maybe she was to upset to reply and tell you, i just felt it was wrong timing.

Dont worry about it, she know knows you were only trying to cheer her up

Sophie,

It really helps to go and join a rambling, climbing club etc. I know it seems odd but you spend a whole day with people and go and do outdoorsy type things and it really helps you to take you mind off of it.

I hope you go to uni, i went 7 years ago and i'm still here.

poppet - splitting up is shit and you will have a whole lot of crap going on inside

but take it as a positive and use it to motivate you to get on in life both personally and professionally...use the feelings.

start of a new day and a new chance

took the words straight from my mouth this happend to me about 3 months ago not easy but life must go on Smiley

 hi poppet ,

i know we dont really know each other but i just want to give you some support at this difficult stage of your life.

i understand how you are feeling and know breakups are mental torture

my advice would be to get out and find yourself

if you are going to uni that will do you the world of good , youll meet lots of new friends and have the time of your life

and you wont be tied down during this time

i know your only 19 but that dont matter ,   im 22 and have been in a relaionship for  years and have a 1 yr old son

believe me , you will enjoy your freedom , and you have plenty of time ahead of you for relationships and stuff

ps we are always here for you here on blonde

keep your chin up and all the best babes

I'm sorry to hear that sophie but quite simply if any guy doesnt know how lucky he is to have someone like you...hell, i'd be exstatic and shouting it from the roof tops. the next couple of months are going to be tough. when i found out that my wife was seeing someone from work and that I had recently paid for them to go see a couple of concerts i went a bit screwy. my family thought i had turned to drink and drugs due to looking so thin and pale but the fact of the matter was i could only afford to eat ready brek morning, noon and night. my friends saw what was happening and picked me up and boosted my ego and then found happiness once more. what i'm trying to say is that no matter how bleak things look, you'll always have friends around that love you and will look after you even when you can not do that yourself. you have tons of friends of here and we all love you. we are all hear if you need to talk, to laugh and to smile and to realise that....the b*stard just aint worth it x

Thanks again for all your kind words and good advice. It really helped me yesterday knowing I had friends to support me, otherwise I would've been in a very dark place. Thank you to all for taking the time to reply to me, itmeans a lot.

I'm now at my Mums, being my own boss for once! I already feel much better for it.

Love Poppet x
