i def agree red i went through a bad run a couple of months back i couldnt do a thing right in cah or comp live or online
i took stock of my position and made some hard decisions on where i want my poker life to go. Having recently been stiched up by not recieving a % by a fellow player i had to decide why i still play the game.i know i still want to play for fun but mainly to try to finish each session or at least each day, week or month in profit. when the pressure of making profit goes away again its amazing how much fun this game can be and how many nice people there are in the poker world
not sure where that came from this thread started off about rankings
I don't think you can ever be a complete player until you can accept that there will be horrible dry spells when nothing you do goes right no matter how good you are, and still keep your game together.
Bankroll management is so important. If I want to play a main event, I can just dip into my bankroll and play it, but I don't.
I mostly only play them if I can win the buy-in, otherwise I would prob go skint.
I just hope sponsored players know how lucky they are. Sponsorship for most of us is just a dream, you have to be able to survive without it. I've seen so many great players win big, but then they enter everything, have a bad run and go under.
Look after your bankroll, it's your No1 priority.
