I've never met any of the people except DC and I'm not going to choose him. I don't really know much about them either but from what I've seen and read so far, here's who I'd like to share my table with.
Brian Wilson
- Never met him but he seems a fun guy to be on the table with and everyone on blonde has nothing but kind words for him
Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott
- I like Dave's style. His dry humour appeals to me. He holds his own against the American greats and puts on a good show.
Tony G
- There's nothing like Tony to spice things up from time to time. I wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of one of his tantrums but I would sure like to be at the table during one
Mickey Wernick
- The legend. No table would be complete without the current European Champion at the table. A great ambassador for the games and great to see him at the blonde bash being so open and available for Q&A's. I just wish I had a good question ready to have asked him.
Marc Goodwin
- I like the Birmingham players, they seem very genuine and friendly. They are a part of what's right about poker in the UK for me.
Ram Vaswani
- I see Ram as being very tricky to play against and I'd like him to be to my right if possible. All the players are obviously greats but I think I'd struggle with Ram the most.
Me
- Just bringing home the bacon.
Willie Tann
- I think Willie will have some great stories that I'd love to hear from the horses mouth so to speak. Also, my missus giggles when she hears the name
and I'd like to be able to say that I've shared the same table as Willie Tann

1) Dave Colclough GB
Top bloke, top player and a Liverpool supporter to boot. Love his style, he is a gentleman at the table but not so conservative as not to give an injest rubdown of his own on occasions. I have also played against him plenty of times at Cincins and he is a fish heads up
2) Me
Why do I want to be sandwiched in between Roland and DC? Well, since Patrick isn't available, theres nobody else I would rather have to the immediate right of me than DC. And Roland? See below!
3) Roland de Wolfe GB
A boy wants his revenge. This guy put me out of the EPT in Deauville (and then had the cheek to get knocked out himself!). A great guy who provided hours of table banter. He may have won the battle eventually but he certainly has not won the war! Give me a re-match any day. Why is this "re-raise with any two cards" monolith to my immediate left? I want the exact same setup as in Deauville thank you very much - and I'm going to come out ahead.
4) Roy Brindley GB
This Boy needs to hear a piece of my mind with respect to the hypocriticial trash he writes in Bluff Europe magazine!
5) Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott GB
Every poker players dream - at least one fish at the table!
6) Brian Wilson USA
Did I say one fish? I really meant two. Plus, what better way to put this guy out than with his very own signature hand. You need one token yank in every event, and I can think of nobody I would rather have than a blondite! Plus, he needs to learn what being table captain is REALLY all about!
7) Ross Boatman GB
These events always seem to have a non-poker playing celebrity at the table. Snooker players, footballers and of course, has-been actors! Of course, I jest. Maybe he can listen to my gripes about the Hendon Mob forum as I send his blue watch off home early.
Well, theres my seven seats filled and my reasons thereof. The table suits me fine and there'll be plenty of aggression - but in the words of Bachman Turner Overdrive, "You ain't seen nothin' yet"! I would love to have JP on the table, but unfortunately there is no room for a third fish. Hopefully this will be a very loud table and provide plenty of entertainment. And when The Cincinnati Kid comes good, he wants to do it against the best.

Phil Laak - Press up? Stand up more like! Want to knock him out so jennifer sees the error of her ways in pursuing a non feline relationship. Only joking, the boys got skills.
Antonio Esfandiari - Super impressed with him ( and laak) on high stakes poker. Plus i want the magician to show me how to pull a rabbit out of a hat when it's required.
Dave "devilfish" Ulliot - Great banter and table presence. I'd love to play against one of the legends of poker.
Ram Vaswani - AN idol from LNP. Plus i know several women who'll pay good money for a signed autograph of Ram and let's face it I won't be making any money through poker with this lot on the table .
Peter Costa - Exquisite story teller judging by his writing. Obviously a top player too. Entertainment guaranteed.
SUrinder Sunar - Has amazing focus on the poker table. I want to try and make him laugh while he's pondering a decision for all his chips. If I can do that, I'll die a happy cat.
Pascal Perraul - Met him in barcelona and he banished many of the misconceptions i have about the french by showing himself to be humble, intelligent and friendly! Plus I can finally apologize for my mate drunkenly shouting "You're well fit" down his mobile to his missus, the pink lady. (She is though!)
Xuyen Pham - Once referred to flushie in a tournament as a "bad bad player" showing her characteristically precise judgement. I just know we'll get on well.
This table would have a great balance of skill and entertainment i think. I'd definitely fancy my chances (of being first to the bar.)

My starting table at a big tournament would be something along the lines of
Seat 1: Tony Kendall
Seat 2: Tony Kendall
Seat 3: Tony Kendall
Seat 4: Me
Seat 5: Tony Kendall
Seat 6: Tony Kendall
Seat 7: Tony Kendall
Seat 8: Tony Kendall
The only way you can become the best is to beat the best...................
however its usually a good idea to accrue an early chip stack at an easy table!!

In horse racing parlance, Flushy is now tailed off.

In all seriousness how will the winner be decided?
I just reread that and it comes accross wrong, i was just curious Tony, I would never expect anything othere than a fair comp for every entry.

I'm not sure actually. Get the Mods to Vote in it? More likely, I will ask Paul Tilling, the Wm Hill Big Suit responsible for the Williajm Hill Grand Prix, to select the winner, or failing that, Phil Quayle (aka bobby1) the WHGP Tournament Manager, to do it for us.

Ok, just in case my first entry may not have been taken seriously - and also due to the fact that my 7 nominees didn't appear on the list given then i would resubmit my entry. Please note that my preferred table would be one filled with weak passive players who fold at the first sign of any aggression - however if i have to pick a list from the names provided then it would probably be as follows:
1: Ben Roberts
2: Peter Costa
3: Dave Colclough
4: Surinder Sunar
5: Me
6: Roland De Wolfe
7: Joe Beevers
8: Mickey Wernick
The post also asked for a brief description as to why these names were chosen and so i will be as brief as possible as only one word is needed.
CLASS
Also if it were possible i would like to increase my table upto ten and add two other names not on the list
9: Paul Jackson
10: Marcel Luske

Right here goes, but before that can i plead that I win because i really really really want to go to Cardiff!! I think I am the only non-welshy on here who actually likes the Welsh so it would be great for building relationships between the Wemlsh and the rest of the world.
I want a table thats fun and aggressive.
Tony G - I want the rest of the table top have position on him most of the time so he's out of sorts.
Peter Costa - Never had the pleasure oe meeting this guy but love reading his posts and I think he would have Tony always up! Plus I could listen to his stories all day.
Phil Laak - he's a danm good player with a fine looking lady who seems to follow him every where - free eye candy :-) Plus ge could teach me to do proper sit ups.
Ram Vaswani - Pure Class
Me - I quite fancy having position of Ram, and I'd have him so scared he'd never think about thieving my BB
DC - Again a nice fellow who could bring some peace and quiet to the table. I don't mind conceding position on him and I could always knick his BB.
The Rookie - I told you before I want it to be fun and aggressive.
Julie - I'd just love the idea of playing with a guy with a girlie name

My entry...
SEAT 1 -
Xuyen Pham
- The only woman on the list, you need some table totty. Keeps the other boys distracted, while the real discipline hawk gets the chips (I wish)
SEAT 2 -
Brian Wilson
- My dad's birthday is coming up, I can borrow his LPs and get them signed.
SEAT 3 -
Barny Boatman
- I don't care how far we progress as a civilisation, this guy will always be cool.....and he can keep us right if anyone forgets what that little white disk is for.
SEAT 4 -
Dave Colclough
- Won't be so scary now he's no longer sporting yellow and black.
SEAT 5 -
JP Kelly
- Cheap rounds, I assume he'll be on the lemonade.
SEAT 6 -
Tony G
- Coz I've always wanted to be on youtube.
SEAT 7 -
Julian Thew
- If I lose, I can maybe get his e-mail address and make my money back.
SEAT 8 - I'll go here, less likley to be distracted by Ms. Pham with a dealer between us, and I can steal that rock Wilson's blinds from my button.
