no.
with a str8 on board, any 2 prob calls to split so its a  potentially great value bet.

i say potentially as only you can judge your oppo from previous play, which makes your decision for you.
as ever, self analysis like this shows why your now such a class act.

It was a standard button raise by me, im the chip leader and 3 handed so that doesnt mean i have to have a real hand. The flop is god awful and hits almost every hand he calls me with so no way im betting it. The turn card is a dream in my opinion, and unless he flopped a flush i cant see how im behind, a chop a very real possibilty. When the river now makes a straight on board and he checks to me I felt i had to bet. He is gonna call me sometimes just playing the board as well as the times we chop in my opinion. I couldnt possibly concieve how he doesnt value bet a flush or the higher straight on the river. It was a very tricky check by him, and as it turns out the one card in the deck came on the turn that was gonna provide any action after such a co-ordinated flop, that we both missed.

I'd bet there too

I'd also value bet his hand first toa ct on the river, he'll get called by a lot of people if they are playing the board.
