lol, it may not look complicated, but there are so many strategic levels involved that it takes abit longer to master. One minute you are buddies with someone, then you are backstabbing them and trying to take them out. 10 minutes later you are buddies with that same person and are both trying to kill another opponent. This is all done non verbally. In our games we are not allowed to form alliances, but when you play after a while no words need to be spoken, it just happens naturally. My strategy always used to be to attack my greatest rival first and continually take swipes at him the whole game, then I would defend him against a stronger opponent when he was on the verge of death. This made him gratefull and he returned the favour later in the game. Then it is time to take him down and out of the game when he thinks you have formed an alliance

We used to have a league of 20 games over a few months. I had 8 wins and my greatest rival, one of my best mates had 8 wins. The other four were lost by each of us trying to out perform the other and as a result eliminating ourselves

It is a great game. The traditional game is the best, the game I am playing next week has aliens and things in it. I think it sounds crap compared to the original, but the majority has voted for it unfortunately.
