I think somebody should try and define what a "pro" is and then they could maybe run tournaments where pros aren't allowed to enter giving the amatuers more of a chance Wink

I absolutely agree, Russ.  I don't think it'll ever occur, as different organisations will have different opinions.

There is no such thing as amateur status in poker. Just people who can make it pay and people who would like to. It is a gambling game with an element of skill not a sport. Everyone involved is trying to win as much money as possible out of it.   

The term amateur is (mis) used pretty loosely by LNPA to give the tourney a sporting image when we all know such TV tourneys especially are nearly all down to luck.
