Hi everyone.

You might have heard me going on about "my new project" in various posts recently. Well, its finally launched. The pilot episode at least. Hopefully its my way of giving something back to the poker community, especially blonde poker to whom I feel I owe so much.

Its something I feel there is an opening for. We have poker TV shows in their droves and we have poker websites. Whilst there are a few poker podcasts they seem to be the "bloke talking to another bloke, in front of a screen" format. Theres certainly scope for many of the things you get in a TV show and the benefit of the format is that you can download it and listen at your leisure. You dont even need an ipod - you download the mp3 file onto your PC. I know guys in Cincinnati club like to listen to podcasts whilst they are at the tables in a live game.

You can download it from my website, I'd apprieciate any feedback if possible. I an tentatively posting a link, but if the mods want to remove it feel free. http://mikkysworld.com/index.php/pokerbeats/2006/10/07/poker_beats_episode_1

I haven't listened yet but try and get it listed on ITunes. That will get you a lot more listeners. Also a good way of letting your listeners contact you rather than just emailing is by putting a forum on your website which allows discussion about the things you talk about!

Will listen later!

You can comment on my posts on my website. I don't want a forum on my site though. There are already many good poker forums and thats not what my blog is about.

I think I was the first o listen to it  and I thought it sounded very professional. I loved the bad beat story...it's like a love story I could cry to! The way i was put together and presented was amazing and very good for a first try.

I will be listening to all the future podcasts

Good luck with it Mikky xxx

I think the background 'music' could come down slightly in the mix.

Something different.

But the background music was terrible - if that was toned down and something more soothing played it could have been really enjoyable the voice overs where good!

I liked the background music but do agree that it could have been slightly quieter. Other than that I think it worked really well and each piece of music 'suited' the feature.

Two things have surprised me this month about Blonde members.  Mikky should have a Scottish accent and Matt should have an Irish accent.  For as long as I have been on Blonde, I have had an image of mikky speaking with a Scottish accent and Matt with an Irish since he told me he was from Ireland.  Instead I hear one with a Liverpool accent and the other with a Manchester accent.   Very confusing.  Next I will discover Flushy speaks with a Carribean accent and tank has a thick Welsh accent like Dewi Cheesy .  I may be wrong there as well, Dewi probably speaks with a NZ accent mixed with French tones

Kev doesn't sound like Bill Oddie either.  He should do, my mind is making audio mistakes constantly at the moment

jeez, I am under pressure now to come up with a good answer that will make you happy  Cheesy

I would say you have a laid back type voice like a teacher I once had a school .
