Hopefully someone will have the techie knowledge or this one.

I've just DLd a movie using bitorrent.
After windows media player sent me on a hunt I eventually got it to work by DLing some coedcs.

Unfortuately I have ZERO sound and WMP doesnt give me an error so I don't know which/where/how to ge the appopriate sound codecs or whatever.

All assistance appreciated.

All in one codecs are good. Get them by google search.

Word of warning - if you get the option, use the "custom install" as most include lots of crap.

Safer way, after install, check ur pc with adaware and spybot

Perhaps you want to try the VLC media player at some point (just google for it), it's free and comes with pretty much all the codes you'd ever need. Been using that for a while now to play all dodgy things that the windows media player doesn't like.

Use thw GSpot codec appliance http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ It can be used to tell you exactly which codecs you need for a file and save using the codec packs as you probably won't need 85% of the codecs they install!
