Finally got the keys to my new house today and i'm chuffed to bits.

Just the mortgage millstone round my neck and the huge renovation project to worry about now.

Well done! This is just the start - it's the little bits that add up like new lights, light bulbs etc - every trip to B&Q is a nightmare :-(

Cngratulations! I think that Focus (Do-It-All) does a New Home discount for purchases made for a short period after you have just bought your house.  certainly one of the large D-I-Y does that - it is worth investigating.  You need to provide appropriate solicitors letter, or something - check it out.  Fingers crossed it still operates - it helps minimise a few of the bills incurred in buying and moving into another place.  All the best.
