ok... not really poker related but this is something that is starting to annoy me.

i don't catch many buses, but when i do there always seems to be someone playing music out of a phone at the back of the bus.

is it just me or is this a bit annoying, am i getting too old?

i've started to say something now (when i've had a bit to drink, like now).should i just keep my mouth shut?

i wouldn't mind so much if it had a good tune and meaningful lyrics. but too me it just sounds like bad noise

It is annoying

Once I was on a bus and listening to a Frank Sinatra CD on my MP3 player.  I never realised how loud it was until I was about to get off at the next stop and a guy said to me " I like his other CD, do you have the Greatest Hits?".  He was sitting about 8 seats away from me  Cheesy

Being on a bus is one of the more depressing things life has to throw at you. Anyone making it any more difficult than it needs to be, should strung up by there thumbs. I was once sitting on a bus and this horrible little kid was terrorising all the passengers whilst the mum just ignored him. Eventually the kid ran up to his mother and just smacked her round the face. She screamed at him 'Slade you little Sh*t'. World class parenting, the old guy next to me started humming 'come on feel the noize' which made me chuckle.

yes - it is extremely annoying.  Perhaps even worse than the people who have their ipods so loud that you can hear every word.

On the way up to Walsal for bb3 I was hoping to catch a snooze on the train.  Not to be however with the two women sitting behind me bitching and gossiping the whole way up, a crying baby in the carriage and, most annoyingly, two teenagers playing the same song over, and over, and over again on their mobile phone.

It was actually a song I liked, but 10 times in a row - no.

God I sound like victor meldrew

Having the music playing from a phone is distracting, but certainly not as annoying as someone going through their list of available ringtones.

There should be fines for noise polluters on the buses and trains

I really don't wish to have some xxxx imposing their crap music on me.

Telling the whole train (using the mobile device as disguise) about their boyfriends/girlfriends, drunken nights, money and other aspects of their mundane lives is the most annoying thing ever.  Sometimes I would like to tell them, that if they are so keen to tell every1 about their problems they should go on a talk show.

Not related tot he noise itself;
people who keep their filthy feet on the opposite seats should have their knee caps damaged, so at least their excuses for this horrible habit would be valid.

I find this more annoying than the music, and as Claw highlighted -

- people don't necessarily have to be on a mobile to be guilty in this manner, so I hope your noise pollution fines extend to the annoyingly loud and not just the mobile related noise.

I agree esp with the whole 'feet up' thing. Don't know where the hell that comes from. You get on a bus/train and the seats have dirty great patches of filfth due to selfish idiots. I'd give them a final warning and tag them with a micro chip. If they were caught at it again I'd chop their feet clean off!

Worse still is when they choose to sit in the aisle seat. That way if you want to sit down they'll 'tut' or 'kiss their teeth' then swivel their legs over while they remain seated. This being their idea of giving you enough room to take the window seat without accidentally banging them in the jaw with your hip/bag/belt or anything else that wouldn't have struck them had they done the decent thing and either moved over or stood the eff up and allowed you to sit down in a stress-free fashion.

That's of course assuming they 'allow' you to sit down. The whole point of them sitting in the ailse seat is so that they have assumed power over anyone with manners who may want the seat as they'll always gesture/request in a polite manner...Now the low life has the power to determine whether you get a seat or not. If they feel like it they'll swivel their legs over and allow you to squeeze by in an undignified manner and if the mood takes them they'll refuse you the seat and then what do you do?

The law is on their side here.

I have a system that beats all the crap you get on buses.

Never use buses.

That's a good system. Unfortunately not all of us are in a position to implement it tho...
